Why I love working with children: Working with children has its challenges but is the most rewarding role that I have undertaken yet. Watching children learn, develop and grow gives a great sense of pride seeing them achieve milestones. Positive relationships with children are based on being in the moment, spending quality time and building trust. There is never a dull moment when spending time with children.

What I would like children to learn from me: I think it’s important for the children to explore their environments and discover their style of learning through play. I love to teach the children respect for each other, sharing their happiness and experiences, having empathy for one another and being kind.
Why I love working with children: Despite the obvious baby fever that comes with being a young adult, I genuinely enjoy watching them grow and learn. I work with the babies, I can’t explain the excitement I feel when one of those little people start to crawl, walk or reply to me with words. There achievements are not only their own as we guide them through those first few steps or sitting there repeating animal names and common manners. I goes for all ages though, as I guide them to reach their milestones, providing them with fulfilling activities and the best care I can give, it’s such a privilege and I couldn’t ask for anything better.

I was born in France and came to Australia in 1974 with my parents and my 2 sisters. We travelled around Australia until 1980 which is when we settled in cairns. I started my childcare passion in 2002 when I started my Family Day Care Business with my baby daughter. In 2006 I started working in a Day Care Centre that was opening up in Edmonton. Working in the childcare sector has helped me gain a new perspective in life as well as being my job that I love. I love the feeling I get when a child achieves new things. Knowing that I am one of the many Adults a child will have to support there early childhood development. My love for children and attending to their basic needs comes naturally to me and my friendly nature makes it easy to win the love of children. Seeing children grow from being babies then toddlers and eventually kinder children ready to go to school is so rewarding. I love that I can help support parents by caring, nurturising and keeping their children safe while they are at work or studying.
